Women's Fishing Clubs and Fishing Organizations

Getting involved in a women’s fishing club will surround you with like-minded people who can fish together, travel together, and have
fun together! It’s always easier to learn something new if you’re learning with a group and it’s certainly a lot more fun! Here are
some links to fishing clubs for women.
Casting for Recovery® (CFR), founded in 1996, is a national non-profit support and educational program for breast cancer survivors.
We enhance the lives of breast cancer survivors by offering no-cost retreats tailored to promote and support mental and physical healing
through shared experiences and the learning of new skills. At the end of 2008 we have served 3,500 women through the delivery of 269
retreats, helped by over 1,000 volunteers nationwide.
The International Women's Fishing Association was formed in 1955 to promote women's fishing in an arena primarily dominated by men.
Over the years it has become one of women's most prestigious fishing clubs, setting the standards for conservation and providing education
through scholarships. The IWFA adopted the International Game Fish Association species list in 2004 giving members world wide opportunity
to compete in their own back yards. The IWFA promotes angling competition among women anglers and promotes release tournaments.
We have three or more release tournaments each year in different areas such as Louisiana, Guatemala, Mexico, Islamorada or Virginia.
This is the womens' page of "On Flyfishing.com". "We hook up conservation-minded fly fishers with fly fishing professionals,

a chair and stay for awhile..."
"We are a group of women who challenge ourselves in all that we set our minds to do. We have no age or color. We represent no religion
or political group. We welcome all women who want to share the adventures of "sisterhood". "
Since 1998, The Women's Wilderness Institute has offered wilderness experiences and outdoor adventures for women and teen girls in
the Rocky Mountains and the deserts of the Southwest. Whether you're seeking a rejuvenating week of backpacking, the skills to build
your own top-rope anchor, or the determination to make a major change in your life, we hope you'll join us for an unforgettable experience
that will increase your wilderness skills, refresh your spirit, and bring you the joy of a wilderness adventure in the company of
women.

"Okay, if you are reading this ’reely’ long letter, you must have been touched by the ‘allure’ of fishing, too (or, perhaps, you are
in the process of getting hooked?)! Can you tell I love all of these fishy puns? Anyway, I have now experienced the adventure, myself,
and there is no turning back. The joy of fishing is no longer confined to the alpha male’s bait bucket! In fact, women, like you and
me, represent 29% of the anglers, in the state of Florida, and over 30% of the anglers, nationwide. Wow! I told you, it’s a fishin’
